Ruukki Construction steel frame installations certified

Aug 11, 2015

Ruukki has received two new certificates related to the installation of steel structures. Working with certified procedures increases reliability and reduces the risks associated with installations.

Load-bearing steel structures – such as those for buildings and bridges – manufactured and welded at Ruukki works will always be CE marked according to the EN 1090 standard. This also covers welding according to the EN ISO 3834 standard. Certified production is carried out at the Ruukki works in Oborniki, Poland and Gargždai, Lithuania, as well as at the Peräseinäjoki and Ylivieska works in Finland.

Ruukki has also received voluntary EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834 certifications for steel structure installation. The aim of this certification is to minimise risks associated with the installation and increase the reliability of the installation activities for clients. The newly-received certification covers all installation operations in the Nordic countries.

Preparatory work for the certifications was carried out in close cooperation between the installation, welding co-ordination, quality and project business functions.

The certifications for Ruukki Construction were approved by the impartial Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy.
